I recently was given a free download of this new Veggie Tales App "Larry's Missing Music". It peaked my interest and I had to let Madison try it out.
This is what the app looks like on my iPhone and iPad. It's available for many different formats but this is what I have. It's simple in concept but very cute. I will say that at first I couldn't get it to work. It's narrated by a cute little girl who had to tell me to "press and hold" the buttons. So, make sure that you make a choice and press and hold. Ha.
The options are "play", "make" and "silly". You can press "silly" and it'll make a song for you. Basically, you're given options of a setting, a character, a noise and a thing (aka people, place and thing). Then it makes your story and you can watch it. Know that here you click and drag. You can set up a "share" option where it'll send it to an email and you can share it with folks.
It's cute, funny, made Madi laugh and she just likes touching the buttons. Ha. My biggest complaint is I don't think it's the easiest thing to use, really. With the pressing and holding, dragging, and clicking. Sounds like I think using smartphones isn't easy. Ha.
Go check it out. I guarantee your kids will know how to use it and they'll think it's funny with the endless supply of options to create silly scenarios over and over again.
