Fall Family Fun

I went to St. Louis for a fun Fall weekend again this year.  I love it.  We always go to Eckert's Farm.  It's so great.  There is a great play area for the kids with animals to pet and feed, ponies to ride and bouncy houses, magicians and other fun rides.  It's great.  We also get our fill of crappy fair food and country stores.  You get to check out all holiday decor, home and kitchen goods and buy some apples and cider.  Yum!  We buy all sorts of gourds, pumpkins and whatever else catches your eye.  We ride the hay wagons out to the pumpkin fields and wander around aimlessly until we find the perfect one.  So fun.

We also went to Kirkwood this year to the train station so the kids could watch the trains.  Madi loves trains and really had fun watching it whiz by (ears plugged the whole time).  Then, we went to their farmer's market which has a fall fest too.  Swings to ride, things to play and climb on and lots of good Fall food.  It was great.  Good to see all the family and to watch Cardinal baseball in St. Louis.

Oh, and don't think I didn't get some Ted Drewes while I was there.  The Great Pumpkin is a slice of pumpkin pie blended with vanilla custard and topped with whipped cream.  Fall in a cup.  Um, yes please!

By the way, here is the one shot of all three cousins together.  Sad, really.

Happy Halloween!  Have a fun, safe, spooky weekend!
