Veggie Tales DVD Review and Giveaway

I was recently given a copy of the newest DVD from Veggie Tales, "Princess and the Popstar".  The weather has been great for snuggling so before lunch on a rainy afternoon, Madi and I snuggled up on the couch to watch.
This is the story of Princess Poppyseed and Vanna Banana (ha).  Princess lives on a farm with a pretty big family and like a lot of other little girls, she really wishes for some privacy.  Especially from her annoying little brother.  Of course, on the flipside is the very famous and rich Vanna Banana who is desperate for friendship and feels very alone in her big world.  By a chance meeting, the girls get to try on the other's life for a day.  And, though they love what they discover they also find that there's "no place like home".

The movie looks and sounds really great.  There is a lot of fun music including the little intermission piece on fashion with the song "Astonishing Wigs".  Madi is into pigs right now and thought they were pretty funny.
Madison loved the music and was definitely entertained though the message is of course too big for little Madi.  She's a little too young at 2 but that's not to say the movie can't be watched.  What movie isn't over her head at this age?  There is also a song by Francesca Battistelli if you're a fan of hers.

Now, the fun part is that I have the opportunity to give YOU your own copy. Yep!  We all know that we could use more good quality movies for when our kids just need to watch something.  I'd rather not fill their heads with a lot of the selfish type of things that are out there so something with a good message that I believe in is just the right thing.

TO ENTER:  Leave me a comment below about your little one and their current favorite movie.  For an extra entry, you can "like" my facebook page at Knit Click Go.  (let me know that you already do and I can count that too)
I will give each entry a slip of paper with your name on it, put them in the hat and let Madi the wonder girl pick randomly from the hat.  The contest will end on 9/30/11.  So, enter now and spread the word!

THE FINE PRINT:  You must live in the U.S. (not my rule, sorry).  That is all..

  1. My son Caleb is 3 and has Autism. His favorite movies usually revolve around Thomas the Tank Engine. But I've noticed lately he's been watching a lot of Bambi! :)

    P.S. I liked your page!
